CREPES A GOGO

This place is a little slice of Paris in the heart of Toronto's Yorkville district. My sister and I both love food so for her 16th birthday, I planned a food trip for downtown. The general idea was to eat our ways down and explore little cafes and such , all in the good name of food :)
Our first stop was Crepes A GoGo!!

CREPES A GOGO
Where: 18 Yorkville Avenue
Toronto, Ontario
M4W 3Y8
416-922-6765
Price: $

When we got inside, it was already packed! We waited in line for about 10 minutes before being show to our seat. Now, the inside is pretty small. I think around max 15 people can sit there comfortably!
This picture was taken a little while later when the restaurant traffic cleared up! Cute little cafe!
This truly is a genuinely French crepe place; there were a few evident regulars there and they all conversed in French. All the cooks/waiters also speak French and you can listen to them speaking with the regulars :)

Menu

Their menu ranges from the typical sweet crepes to savoury, to a mixture of both sweet and savoury!

When they serve you your crepes, you are given no plates, or cutlery!! They give it to you in a simple paper bag - oh simplicity : )

Warning: If you decide to split the crepe, ask the waiter for a knife so you can cut it yourself.. they actually charge you $1.50 just to cut it in half for you!!

Veronique - Brie Cheese, Spinach, Strawberries and Maple Syrup ($9.50)
I decided to get the Veronique. I've always loved the combination of sweet and savoury.. plus this particular crepe was named after the restaurant owner . You just can't go wrong! The first bite is phenomenal, but after a while, I felt there was just a bit TOO much brie cheese. Although mine definitely had more toppings than K's, and made me fuller, it got soggy after a while from the melted brie, strawberries and the maple syrup combined together.

Côte d'Azur - Goat cheese, tomato, spinach, basil and olive oil ($8.00)
I really liked K's. It was  beautifully delicate and slightly crispy. I could eat it for days.. The toppings were pretty basic and tasted like a gourmet pizza when you ate it :9

One of CAG's specialty drinks is Limonana (shipped all the way from Quebec!) which is basically lemonade with mint. Sadly, when we went it was all sold out .. they were not expecting any shipments til mid-February :(

Although ours were absolutely superb, you really can NOT go wrong with anything on the menu! I'm planning on making a trip and trying more flavours and hopefully getting myself some Limonana :)
