Origin Liberty

Chef Claudio Aprile, known for his limitless and culinary experimentaion, opened Origin Liberty after his Origin and the acclaimed Colborne Lane (now closed, sadly). E and I were in Liberty Village and stumbled upon Origin. Great atmosphere and everything was beautifully presented but the menu items weren't particularly innovative (definitely no Colborne Lane).

Harper's Burger Bar [Kingston]

Kingston definitely has its fair share of burger joints, what with being the home to Five Guys  and The Works. Decided to check out Harper's (under the same group as Chien Noir and Atomica, also located in Kingston) which many have argued is better than The Works!

THE WORKS - Waterloo

The Works has finally come to Waterloo! It's only been the first week and the place is already packed every night! We got their at around 6:30, and we had to wait 40 minutes for an 8 person table. J and I went back on a Friday night at around 7:30 and had to wait 25 minutes. We noticed it started to slow down around 9 so we will try coming around that time next time!

FRAT BURGER

Only been opened recently in 2011 and already it's a student favourite. It's about time too - restaurants around the two campuses specialize in chicken wings, or other pub-style food but there are none that specialize specifically on hamburgers. On weekdays it is absolutely packed with students dropping in from the university across the street!

Very modern and hip burger place that prides itself on organic, hormone and antibiotic-free hamburger patties. They also make their own buns!
