In the Kitchen: PB & Banana French Toast

An easy and delicious way to give you a boost of energy at the start of your day!

I n g r e d i e n t s (for one serving)
- 1 Banana
- 1/4 brown sugar (OPTIONAL)
- Peanut Butter (crunchy, smooth, natural, doesn't matter !)
- 2 slices of bread
- Knob of Butter
- 1 egg
- Splash of milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon

s t e p 1 Skip this step for a healthier french toast
In a bowl, mix sliced bananas with the brown sugar. This will give it an amazing caramelized touch.

s t e p 2
Start by spreading the bread with peanut butter and placing the sliced bananas on top and then placing one side with the other to make a complete sandwich. In a separate bowl, whisk an egg with the milk, vanilla extract and cinnamon. Dunk the sandwich in there! You can let it soak in the egg for a while if you prefer a more dense french toast.

Heat your pan on medium-high and let the butter melt on the heated pan. Place your french toast on top and let it sizzle. Grill both sides quickly then go over it again and press down on your sandwich to make it more cohesive. Serve immediately. You can add maple syrup if you'd like but I found it plenty sweet =)

Enjoy!
